Restaurant-backed urban agriculture

We believe the future of food is local. In every city, there are empty patches of land - school grounds, development sites, forgotten corners - that could be growing fresh produce for the community around them. These spaces have the potential to feed people, train growers, and reconnect us with where our food comes from. But making that happen isn’t easy. From land permissions, to funding, to finding skilled growers, there are plenty of barriers that stop good ideas from becoming reality.
That’s where Regenerous comes in. In April 2025, we launched our first restaurant-backed growing site at Royal Docks Academy in East London. Supported by world-renowned restaurants The Clove Club and Bar Valette, and brought to life by the experienced growers at OrganicLea, the site is already producing crops for the kitchens while giving students and staff a space to connect with food growing

For us, this isn’t just about one garden. It’s about proving a model for how cities can transform their food system: chefs investing in growers, communities gaining green space, and food travelling metres - not miles - from soil to plate.

We’ve already secured funding for our next site, and we’re looking for new restaurant partners who share this vision to turn more of the city’s hidden spaces into thriving food-growing enterprises
